“LIFE Groups”
is the small group ministry of MVBC.

One of the core principles of Mountain View is discipleship – growing to be more like Christ. Discipleship is a process. It doesn’t happen overnight, nor does it happen in a large group of people. That’s why being a part of a small LIFE group is so important. A LIFE group is the place where we connect, build relationships with one another and have our spiritual needs met in a casual, safe environment.

Our model is Acts 2:42 "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." LIFE groups meet for the purpose of
L-learning, I-intercessory prayer, F-fellowship, E-evangelism. We invite you to join us as we grow in relationship with God and one another. Jesus set the example for us when He
selected a group of 12 disciples who had the motivation and desire to hang out with Him. That’s the same principle behind what we hope to do within the LIFE groups of Mountain View – to provide each person the opportunity and setting to passionately follow Jesus.

Our Sunday worship services are a very important part of church life, but the LIFE group is more interactive, providing room for discussion, asking questions, sharing, and caring for each other. As God continues to grow the family of faith at Mountain View, we want to keep the environment and ‘feel’ of a close knit family. LIFE groups help make that happen. Join a group today and invite your family and friends to join with you as we experience the presence of the Lord thru authentic relationships of love and grace.

What is a LIFE group meeting like?
Our LIFE groups are 10-20 people who gather together weekly for a time of fellowship, study, caring, encouragement, support, outreach & prayer… They mostly meet in homes in a very casual and relaxed atmosphere. Each meeting is about one and a half hours and begins with a time of fellowship…just having fun and getting to know each other better. Then the groups spend time looking at the Bible through Bible study aimed at finding answers to our
questions about living a meaningful life today. Most groups end with a time of sharing
personal needs, supporting one another, and praying together.
